DRIVER: JEFF BIRD
Starting out with Karting, Jeff Bird has been driving open wheel cars on the west coast for many years, always with a professional and respectful approach towards everyone involved in the sport. Jeff possesses a unique combination of fierce competitive ambition and expert driving ability, always striving to surpass his previous performances. Jeff's nickname "iceman" started with a sponsorship from Columbia Ice in 2003. It also speaks to his love of hockey - he is very athletic and has played competitively all his life, winning many tournaments, championships, trophies, and awards in hockey. Jeff still plays hockey throughout the winter, as well as summer softball, coaches his son's and daughter's hockey teams and coaches his son's softball team. Racing is a family affair, and in Jeff's blood. Both of Jeff's teenagers, Adam and Kendra, are involved in helping out with the Sprint car and are named as "Junior Crew" members. Adam also helps out in the pits at races on both sides of the border. Jeff's dad "Bobby the Border Bandit" races midgets and is part of the #55 crew. Jeff's girlfriend Joanne is also a member of the crew, helping with safety, gear maintenance, and cheerleading. Jeff's brother Jeremy has raced as well, including the #55 sprint car. Jeff was an Executive Member
on the NSRA Board Power Point Show featuring Jeff Bird and the #55 Sprint Car WilRoc
