and the very next night....September 3
Western Speedway, Victoria BC
Jeff and fellow racer Dan Fisher (#10 car) made the 14 hour trip back in time for hot laps! The #55 car was strong in practice, but not set up for optimum performance in qualifying, and the driver was already tired from the previous night's race, and driving stright through to get back to Victoria from Idaho.

Jeff qualified legally, but the WilRoc officials thought otherwise and although his qualifying time put him in the 2nd row, the officials forced him to start at the back for the Main Event because they felt he "didn't put in enough effort". Despite having 20 cars to get through, he ran a clean race and finished 10th in the Main Event.

September 10
Saratoga Speedway, Campbell River BC
Leading the Main Event, the right rear tire on #55 went flat -
Jeff had to pull off the track to end the night early.

September 17
Wenatchee Valley Super Oval, Wenatchee WA USA (NSRA)
The car felt strong, but as Jeff was in the lead of his Heat Race, a knocking sound in the motor forced him to shut off the car and come in off the track. Inspecting the motor found nothing, but when he tried to re-start the car and heard the noise again, he called it a night. When he got the car home and stripped down the motor, he discovered the block was cracked in several places - time for a new one!

If you want to see your business name in Victory Square at the track,
