MAY 12, 2007 - PORT ANGELES WASHINGTON
The Jeff Bird Racing team headed across the pond to Port Angeles
on Saturday May 12.
After a very successful start to the season last weekend in Ephrata
Washington, Jeff relinquished his driving duties and instead was Crew
Chief for his younger brother Jeremy Bird.

For long time crew member Jeremy, this day marked his 33rd birthday
and was his first time racing the #55 sprint car. When given the offer
to drive, Jeremy’s initial reaction was to be worried about hurting
the car, but his excitement set in quickly. Jeff had full confidence
in his brother and knew that Jeremy would make the team proud.

Jeremy's results: 3rd in the B-Dash, 3rd in the Heat Race, and

Leading the race for the first 20 laps of 40, the #55 was well
on its way to an A-Main Event win until a yellow flag bunched up the
field. After falling to second place on the restart, then to third,
Jeff was running out of fuel with only a few laps to go!
The officials brought out the red flag and allowed everyone to stop
and refuel due to excessive laps under yellow, and restarted the race
for the remaining 5 laps.
#55 finished 4th in the Main Event.

#55 WINNER TAKES ALL
***********************
Again, no one could beat the #55...but this time is wasn't because
of rain! :)
Jeff broke the track record (again) with a 13.0, won the Trophy Dash,
won the Heat Race,
and then went on to clean up with a Main Event win as well! He made
some amazing passes that had the fans on the edge of their seats!
Cam 'SMOKES' McLean (#26) brought his car out for the first time this
season,
and would have had second in the main except for a fuel shortage in
the last 5 laps. :(
SEPT 23, 2007 - WESTERN SPEEDWAY, VICTORIA BC
Almost rained out, qualifying finally started at 7pm.
Jeff qualified 3rd quick out of 17 sprint cars!
Heat race - 4th
Main Event - 5th
Cam "SMOKES" McLean had his #26 car out for the 2nd
time this year...and won the trophy dash!
